Be mesmerised as West Winds brings you the best of Japan in this evening of enchanting music – from Japanese wind band works, to Japanese composers’ interpretations of Asian music, as well as tributes to the Japanese landscapes from Western composers.
Established since 1993 with the support of the People’s Association and Bukit Batok Community Club, West Winds is made up of a group of passionate musicians from different walks of life, from civilian to military, professional to student. The band has won a Gold medal when it participated in the Singapore International Youth Music Festival in 1996, and has since toured Australia, USA and Japan.
